SHINJUKU TAKASHIMAYA
Experience EIZI menswear at Shinjuku Takashimaya.
Where “I’d like to try it” becomes “I can wear it myself.”
Japanese attire may be captivating, yet choosing it, putting it on by yourself and caring for it can all seem difficult. If that is how you feel, we invite you to begin by seeing and touching the garments in person.
Kimonoya EIZI brings together the dignity of tradition with the ease and practicality required for modern life.
At Shinjuku Takashimaya, you can see our Uwagi jackets, haori, EIZI hakama and tea-ceremony hakama in person, and experience the fabrics, colors and feel of the garments when worn.
Standing before the mirror, you may discover a side of yourself you have not seen before.
EXPERIENCE

ABOUT EIZI
Honoring tradition, shaping its future.
Japanese attire is more than something we simply put on.
As you slip your arms into the sleeves and your posture settles, your mind grows quietly composed. Japanese attire has the power to support the spirit and bearing with which we meet each occasion.
Kimonoya EIZI does not seek merely to preserve tradition unchanged.
Easy to wear, easy to move in and easy to care for—we aim to create Japanese attire that feels natural in modern life and can be passed on to the next generation.
We carry this tradition forward through garments that help prepare not only your appearance, but also your state of mind for important moments.

COORDINATE
Let color shape the presence you want to create.
Combining the colors and textures of the haori, Uwagi and hakama quietly changes the impression of the same silhouette.
Perhaps you want to appear composed, sharply poised or a little softer.
At the salon, you can see the true colors and textures and choose an ensemble that suits both the occasion and the impression you wish to create.
HAKAMA
Within hakama, the pride of Japan is woven.
The character 袴, meaning hakama, contains the clothing radical. Replace it with the speech radical and it becomes 誇—pride. We see in this connection a reflection of what hakama means to us.
Hakama are more than clothing.
When welcoming someone important, standing before others or offering a sincere bow, they express respect for others and resolve toward the moment.
Put on the hakama and stand before a mirror. Your posture naturally straightens, and you may notice a subtly more composed expression.
Beyond ease of wear, we hope to create a garment that helps you discover a slightly different version of yourself. With that wish, we devote ourselves to our craft.
SCENE
For your important moments, choose Japanese attire.
Days when you stand before others. Days when you dine with someone important. Days when you preserve a family milestone in a photograph.
A suit is always a fine choice. But when you want the occasion to feel a little more special, Japanese attire offers a quiet way to express who you are.
What kind of day lies ahead?
